The Path of Yoga

I began my yoga practice in 2000 to address sciatica and persistent low back pain, and fell immediately in love. I have been teaching yoga since 2007, specializing in the Shiva-Shakti Tantric Philosophy and studying under expert practitioners like Noah Maze and Christina Sell.. From 2012 to 2020, I was co-owner of Claremont Yoga in Claremont, California. I have taught over 3,000 yoga classes, developed a Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher-training program-- mentoring over 100 future yoga teachers--and lead workshops on philosophy, asana, yoga nidra, prenatal yoga, and the many other aspects of yoga. I have certifications in prenatal yoga, kids yoga, and I am a E-RYT 500 teacher.  My classes follow the cycles of the moon and the rhythms of the seasons. Thank you for joining me on this journey of life, light, and love. I am so very grateful for every day that I am able to share the gift of yoga with you.

What People Are Saying

In the ten years I’ve been practicing with Nicole, I have come to experience her classes as a form of body poetry. Nicole creates a safe space in which to explore movement, mindfulness, and intention-setting, helping me to align mind, body and spirit.

— Michelle D.

Words do not seem adequate to explain yoga practice or the experience of practice with Nicole. Her professionalism, experience, wisdom, style, and warmth is always with me.

— John G.

What I love most about Nicole is her creativity! For over the past ten years, I’ve gained new insights, greater strength and skill with each and every class. I’m consistent with my practice because of her extraordinary encouragement and positive support. Thank you!

— Laurie P.

I have been taking Nicole's yoga class for over 10 years now and my practice has evolved and grown to a level I never could have imagined, both physically and mentally. Nicole's authenticity really shines through in her teaching and her positive energy and light always brightens my day. Nicole's great passion for yoga and teaching is highly contagious and it is very apparent that she loves to educate and inspire others through the beauty of yoga.

— Sarah L.

I used to be one of those people who found yoga boring and rolled my eyes whenever someone said they were into it. Until, that is, I took my first class with Nicole. Her classes are so fun, challenging, and creative, 75 minutes flies by! Plus, Nic is just one of the lovelier people you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. I could not recommend her classes more highly!

Steadiness + Ease

Sthira-Sukham asanam

May this practice bring you back to yourself, back to Sattva, or bliss. The Yoga Sutras teach us that every breath, every posture, every day, should have elements of strength and stability, balanced with ease and comfort. May you feel your roots grounding you into the earth with each step, each breath, and from that place, fly free and soar.
